As an engineer on the team, you are expected to participate in the roadmap, technology stack, scalability, and performance of the distributed system. You need to have a good understanding of web application development using Spring framework and exposure to distributed systems development using technologies such as Hadoop, ActiveMQ, Redis etc.This position also requires strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills, and a good candidate is expected to contribute to the vision and direction of the product line, as well as able to produce good quality code for large components in a fast paced environment.Responsibilities- Design and develop large-scale web-based cloud management software from inception to release- Interact with product managers, and other development team members to translate loose requirements to completed stories and implement using Agile methodology- Perform system- and component- level design across the product and own and deliver components- Involve in leading and defining the sprints in a fast paced as-a-service release environment- Work in the R&D team to implement, test (automation) and deploy web based applications for cloud infrastructure and managementRequirements:- BS/MS in EE/CS background- Strong engineering development process knowledge, preferably building a heavily used SaaS platform, or building system management and cloud management platforms and applications- Knowledge in the security aspects of web applications and services, including ID management, AAA, SAML and PKI- Knowledge developing commercially shipping products using Agile/Extreme development methodologies- Highly driven and structured individual with strong sense of urgency and commitment to schedulesLocation: Bangalore, IndiaRequisition Number: 30486BR
